PROJECTS - 1996

Everyone is heading for Key West!

Henderson 30 - Snap Shot

Mainsail - maximum roach w/ the top two battens full length and "long" bottom battens This sail sports the standard loose foot and a carbon fiber headboard from the Beaufort Batten Company .The fabric is Dimension x-ply to give the sail a powerful, long lasting shape.
Spinnaker - this huge sail {1,200 square feet} is being made from .52 ounce Performance Coat nylon imported from France. This incredibly strong fabric has the best tear resistance of any nylon we have tested. All of the radial seams in this sail have been glued together and NOT SEWN.

Olson 40 - White Trash

#2 Genoa- This sail is made from several weights of Bainbridge Diax. The corner patches are a development of our new FINGER PATCHES for maximum strength and minimum weight. This sail weighed 10 pounds less than the Kevlar Genesis sail that it replaced.
Spinnaker- the new 1/2 ounce is also made from the French Performance Coat.

Santa Cruz 27 - Miss 'Em

The heavy air race week requires a new blade and #2 for this customer. Both sails are made from Bainbridge Diax with Finger Patches in the corners. The blade sports four tapered battens with the top one full length. These sails will be light, strong and fast.

Also going to Key West with Schurr Sails:

C&C 35 - Funhouse

This Mobile boat is returning to Key West after placing 3rd in class last year. The sails were all new for the last event and still looking great.

J/35 - Dirigo

This Lake Norman boat has been burning up the race course back home with an all Dimension Technora Black inventory. If these guys find their pace early in the event, they will be at the top of their class.

Melges 24

We will have several customers on the starting line. The Performance Coat nylon 3/4 ounce is perfect for their asymmetrical spinnakers that get maximum abuse on these little boats.
