Return Policy

Keep in mind it is always best to examine a used sail in person before buying. We do not make any guarantees about condition, size, suitability, color, or anything else about these sails. We do attempt to describe them here as accurately as possible.

If you buy any of these used sails and find that it does not meet your needs, we will accept it in return (see exceptions below), but you will be responsible for returning the sail, shipping prepaid, in the same condition as it left the loft, and we will refund your purchase price less the cost of the shipping and handling we paid to send it to you. Note that this does not apply to sails whose condition is described as "Poor" - these are final sales with no refund.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why would you want a sail in poor condition?

A: You might be surprised how many people pay for sailboats and just can’t go sailing unless they buy something. It’s our job to keep sailors on the water and sometimes a deal on a worn out sail can be just the ticket. The price is right on these sails!

Q: Why are there new sails in a used sail list?

A: We have been in business for over 30 years and, well, we have made mistakes: wrong color UV cover, UV cover on the wrong side, tall rig?, etc. Also, we have new sails that never got picked up by the customer.

Q: Do you buy used sails?

A: No, we do not. The only reason we sell them is that after many years in the business, we have piles of sails for various reasons and we have to do something with them. In this economy, every little bit helps.
